Aquas Dealt 3-1 Loss by Minneapolis
|
Minneapolis pitcher Santos Gomez did his part in helping his team defeat the Houston Aquas, 3-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. Minneapolis pitcher Lesley Deakin earned the win, hiking his record to 3-2. Shane Reid suffered the loss. Minneapolis, at 58-39, holds down first place in the Western Conference Duviel Zaldivar Division.
Carlos Dorame hit a 2-run home run off Shane Reid in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Vikings ahead, 3-1. In addition to the homer, Dorame had 1 double, while going 2 for 3.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Dorame.
