Win Lifts Aquas to 58-39
|
Houston pitcher Slider Brooks did his part in helping his team defeat the Alaska Kodiaks, 7-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. Houston, at 58-39, is 2 games up in the Western Conference Michael Fridy Division.
The Aquas got a big at-bat from third baseman Craig Lightsey. For the game, Lightsey was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 30th double of the season gave Houston a 2-1 lead.
"I like our moxie," said Aquas manager Brandon Coroian.
