Avispas Get Plucky, 2-1 Win Over Senators
The Santiago Avispas picked up a win at The ESPN Zone, knocking off the Washington Senators, 2-1. Starting pitcher Beau Eschmann was a big reason why. The winner was Santiago reliever Raudel Hernandez, now 2-0. The loser was Monte Haworth. With the victory, the Avispas record stands at 48-47.

Daichi Sakai, the 3rd overall pick in the 2081 draft, helped out the Santiago cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder went 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"Our pitching was the difference tonight," Sakai said.
