Cyclones Win at Washington, 5-3
|
The Miami Cyclones locked up a win at The ESPN Zone, knocking off the Washington Senators, 5-3. On the mound for Miami was right-hander Ed Rice. He played a major role in the triumph. The Cyclones are now 40-55, while the Senators fall to 37-58.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Lan-quing Rao? The Miami left fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cyclones on top, 4-0. For the game, Rao had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Ed did a good job mixing and matching," said Miami manager Chris Stephan.
