The Phoenix Thunderbirds beat the Havana Metropolitanos, 10-7, in 11 innings at Legednary Park. Phoenix shortstop Andres Romo led the way. He went 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. The victory puts Phoenix at 35-60.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, Romo hit a fastball from Alan Hand for a 3-run home run. The Thunderbirds, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
