Cyclones Need Extra Innings to Top Arrows, 6-4
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Power Ballpark.

The Miami Cyclones racked up a win at Power Ballpark, bumping off the Seattle Arrows, 6-4, in 11 innings. Chris Sposato, who started for Miami, pitched effectively for his team. The Cyclones, now 7-3, have played some good baseball in the early going.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Ed Rice came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Seattle pitcher Garrett Gutierrez, he hit a 1-0 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Miami on top, 5-4.

Said Miami manager Chris Stephan: "Our approach was outstanding all night long."
