San Diego Destroyers starter Fish Rablood pitched a strong game against the Vancouver Wolves at Seaward Stadium, leading the Destroyers to victory, 4-2. Arturo Noboa was credited with the save, his 2nd in 2 tries. The Destroyers raised their record to 37-56.

Carlos Tenorio had a big solo home run for the Destroyers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With San Diego leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Jose Madrid and punished it. The result was his 13th home run of the season, which put the Destroyers on top, 3-1.

Tenorio told a San Diego Observer reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
