St. Louis Gets Another L
St. Louis got a big-time effort from pitcher Andres Anguiano, but it wasn't enough to keep the Miami Cyclones from winning the game, 6-3. Anguiano threw 7.1 innings allowing 2 runs for the losing team. Nestor Fajardo came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 6-5. The last-place Gaedels have dropped 8 straight games.

Miami took a 4-3 lead on Ed Rice's 10th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Rice hit in the top of the ninth, left St. Louis pitcher Frank Hubert visibly frustrated.

St. Louis manager Mak Dolnick, after yet another defeat, said: "We don't want to panic. At the same time, we need to stop the bleeding."
