Rangers Win at Minneapolis, 9-1
|
Buffalo starter Allan Tinter kept the Minneapolis hitters in check, helping his team cruise to a win, 9-1. The second-place Rangers bumped their record to 50-43.
Buffalo used the timely hitting of Bejo Ananas to capture the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rangers on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
"We took a roundhouse punch to the chin," said losing manager Ace Cooan.
