The Boston Greens rode a solid performance from 32-year-old starting pitcher Su-shun Nie to a win, beating the St. Louis Gaedels, 5-2, at Veeck Park. Edgar Murillo was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 3 save opportunities. The 4th-place Greens have won 4 straight.

Boston used a well-timed hit by Sergio Folha to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Greens ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

Folha told a Boston Chronicle reporter that the win made him feel "upbeat about our team."
