The Portland Dragons downed the Seattle Arrows, 9-6, at Power Ballpark. Jairo Cedillo led the way, going 2-for-5 for Portland. Portland starter Lenny Stack was credited with the win after throwing 70 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Picking up his 5th save was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Charlie Petipas.

With Portland trailing 5-3 in the top of the fourth, Cedillo hit a changeup from Mark Kubina for a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Dragons ahead, 7-5.

"We've hit a lull," said Seattle manager Dr. Jay Siber.

The Dragons, now 6-3, have been playing some good baseball.
