Thunderbirds Roll to 9-2 Win Over Arrows

The Phoenix Thunderbirds defeated the Seattle Arrows, 9-2, in Western Conference action at Legednary Park. Emilio Oregon pulled his weight. The 12-year veteran was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Phoenix has a record of 38-52, placing them last in the Western Conference Mike Stump Division.
With Phoenix leading 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh, Oregon hit a fastball from Victor Romero for a grand slam home run. It was his 23rd home run of the season and put the Thunderbirds ahead, 7-2.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Joe Busch said.
