The Maine Lobster rode a solid performance from 31-year-old starting pitcher Felix Talamantez to a win, beating the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 5-2, at Legednary Park. The Lobster have now won 5 straight.
Roberto Fondin, who is tied for 6th in the EC in RBI with 62, helped out the Maine cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the catcher was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"Felix just settled in and did what he does," said Maine manager Matthew McExpos.
