The Kansas City Athletics and Chicago Phantoms played an entertaining game for Foster Field patrons.

In a low-scoring affair between the Kansas City Athletics and the Chicago Phantoms, pitcher Roberto Rueda was the difference between victory and defeat. The Kansas City left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Athletics win. D.J. Harkins was credited with the save, his 2nd in 2 tries.

Kansas City took a 3-2 lead on Harold Pond's 6th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Pond hit in the top of the seventh, left Chicago pitcher Taisei Yamamoto visibly frustrated.

"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Rueda.

The win has Kansas City at 36-55.
