Legednary Park was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

Jim Lawrence, who is tied for 4th in the EC in strikeouts with 119, never let the Thunderbirds get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Lobster to a win, 2-0. Lawrence picked up the win for Maine, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 3-6.

Maine used the hitting of William Sanjines to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Lobster on top, 2-0. For the game, Sanjines had 1 home run and 1 single in 2 at-bats.
