Salazar Hits 2 home runs in Glaciers Win
|
The Denver Glaciers stopped the San Francisco Friars, 8-3, at Mountain Dew Park. The Glaciers got a big game from Alvaro Salazar, who belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Adam Mimnaugh, credited with the save, is now 20 for 21 in save opportunities. The win puts Denver at 48-42 this season.
Denver took control in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Edgar Malhado hit a run-scoring single to make it 4-3, Glaciers.
"Alvaro was ready to go. Big day for him," said Denver manager Todd Bleess.
