The Tucson Toros besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Toronto center fielder Arnold Blackadder by beating the Juggernauts, 5-3, at Molson Park. Blackadder was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Kurt Bozek, now 4-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The 4th-place Toros now have a record of 44-45.

Etsuji Obata drove in one run for Tucson. The 23-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Fabian Estrada. It was his 54th RBI of the season.

Tucson manager Rick Barnes commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
