The Alaska Kodiaks defeated the Tucson Toros in 11 innings, 5-4, in part because of center fielder Jae-ho Choe. Choe went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles for the Kodiaks. Eddie Izurieta notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record now sits at 1-1. Alaska is now 42-48, Tucson 39-50.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Alaska. That's when Matthew Hinojosa hit a solo home run off 25-year old right-handed pitcher Edwin Castaneda to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
