Alaska beat Vancouver at Fox-Chong Park, eking out a 5-4 win. The triumph was primarily due to right fielder Tillmam Velado. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Masaru Uno earned his 1st save, after closing out the game. Alaska is 49-38 and Vancouver, with the loss, 39-49.

Alaska took advantage of an error in the top of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 4-4, when O-jun Joh hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Kodiaks in front, 5-4.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Vancouver manager Zach Meinen. "But we decided not to take it."
