The Las Vegas Aces beat the Chicago Phantoms, 8-5, at Foster Field. The Aces got a fine performance from left fielder Juan Carrizales, who was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Picking up his 3rd save was 31-year old right-handed pitcher J.P. McNealy. Las Vegas goes to 5-5.

With Las Vegas leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Carrizales hit a changeup from Susumu Shibuya for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Aces ahead, 4-1.

"We came out with clear minds and swung the bats well," said Las Vegas manager Justin Coroian.
