Aquas Reel Off Another Win, 5-3
|
The Houston Aquas defeated the Seattle Arrows, 5-3, at Tesoro Stadium. Houston second baseman Al Anzaldua had a superb performance. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Danny Mathews closed out the game, earning his 18th save. After today's action, Houston sits at 53-36, while Seattle falls to 37-51.
Anzaldua had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 fastball from Eric Arellano, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Aquas a 4-2 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Anzaldua.
"I feel like we're rolling now," Anzaldua told the Houston Daily."The dugout is coming alive."
