With Late Score, Arrows Beat Vikings
|
The Minneapolis Vikings got a superb performance from left fielder Bobby Aguinaga, but the Seattle Arrows still won the game, 10-9. Aguinaga belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Seattle reliever Dryden Ice picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Zee-loo Kim absorbed the loss. The Arrows saw their record improve to 44-45.
The Arrows were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 28-year old left fielder Al Guzman landed a big blow. He turned a 3-1 fastball from Zee-loo Kim into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Power Ballpark denizens into a frenzy and sent the Arrows home with a thrilling 10-9 win.
"We kept coming at guys," Seattle manager Dr. Jay Siber said. "We kept digging."
