Vikings Lose Late to Arrows
|
Though he had a stellar game, Mike Ramirez could not prevent his team, the Minneapolis Vikings, from losing, 5-4, to the Seattle Arrows. Ramirez was 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs. Seattle reliever Paul Leombruno was the winner. His record is now 3-3. The losing pitcher was Jaime Luther. Picking up the save was 23-year old left-handed pitcher Victor Romero.
Jason Lingo hit a run-scoring triple off Katsuo Nozawa in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Arrows in front, 5-4. Lingo had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
Lingo told a Seattle News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The third-place Arrows now sit at 43-45.
