Senators Spoil Opening Day for Kings, Their Fans
|
The 2083 season did not get off to quite the start the Baltimore Kings had hoped, with an opening day loss to the Washington Senators at AT&T Park. The final score was 5-3. Left Fielder Alex Tejeda was the top performer for Washington. Washington pitcher Zenjiro Koga got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Stuart Stephenson got the loss.
Tejeda contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Washington in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-1, Tejeda took a splitter from Stuart Stephenson and stroked the home run to right-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Senators to leap in front, 5-3.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Tejeda.
