Friars Claim 7-4 Win
The San Francisco Friars used the hitting of designated hitter Luis Callejas to subdue the San Diego Destroyers, 7-4. For the game, Callejas went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Friars sit in 4th place in the Western Conference Michael Fridy Division with a record of 43-45.

The Destroyers had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Friars going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 2077 Rookie of the Year Award winner Lyalya Markosiants came to the plate. Markosiants hit a 3-run home run on a 1-0 cutter from San Diego hurler Fish Rablood. It was Markosiants's 10th home run of the year.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Callejas told the San Francisco Citizen.
