Eighmy Belts 2 Homers in 11-7 Win
|
Chris Eighmy added some punch to the Denver offense, helping them outmuscle the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 11-7. In the game, Eighmy, who is tied for 7th in the WC in home runs with 21, hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Denver now owns a record of 46-41.
Alexjandria Leija hit a run-scoring double off Julio Carpinteyro in the bottom of the first, which put the Glaciers in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Leija had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Leija, "and then get after it again."
