Athletics Lose to Glaciers, 5-4
|
Ed Gosse made an impact in the 5-4 Denver win over Kansas City. Gosse was 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win was credited to 22-year old right-handed pitcher Raul Valido in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Ryan Schwartz took the loss. The Glaciers, at 41-46, have now won 4 straight.
Denver grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Gosse hit a solo home run off Ryan Schwartz. His 1st home run of the season put the Glaciers out in front, 5-4.
"We're trying to go out there and win games," Gosse told the Denver Chronicle, "and we played pretty well tonight."
