Destroyers Come Back Late to Clip Aces
The San Diego Destroyers had to overcome a fine effort from Las Vegas pitcher Salomé Sieuve to win, 4-3, at Western Coliseum. Sieuve went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. Chris Whiffen sewed up the save, his 1st. The Destroyers now own a record of 34-52.

Edward Black came through with a big-time hit for San Diego. The left fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We were the better team," crowed Black.
