The Baltimore Kings defeated the Minneapolis Vikings, 10-7, at Minneapolis Grounds. Baltimore designated hitter Harold Wicks had a superb performance. He was 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Baltimore reliever Cruz Vaquez picked up the win. Jose Ortiz, who is tied for 2nd in the WC in complete games with 1, took the loss for Minneapolis. The second-place Kings go to 41-42.

Wicks had a consequential at-bat in the top of the fourth for the Kings. Coming up with the bases loaded and Baltimore trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run single.

"We try to keep the mood light around here," said Wicks. "Winning helps."
