Juggernauts Get Clonked by Spectres, 9-6
|
Philadelphia second baseman Fernando Malleta contributed significantly to his team's 9-6 win over the Toronto Juggernauts. Malleta, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2076 draft, went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Spectres. The win was credited to former first round draft pick Rafael Salabarria in relief. His record improves to 5-0. Albin Muscetta took the loss. Alberto Zamora notched his 11th save of the season.
Malleta contributed in the bottom of the second. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 2-run triple. It was one at-bat among others that helped Philadelphia get the win.
"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Malleta.
At 44-37, the Spectres find themselves in second place in the Eastern Conference Jossue Lopez Division.
