Wolves Stick Aces with 3-1 Loss
The Vancouver Wolves banked on Vito Pels and he turned in a masterful performance. The left-hander kept the Las Vegas hitters in check. The final score was 3-1, Wolves. Pels yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 5-2. By defeating Las Vegas, the last-place Wolves improved to 37-45.

Paul Rees drove in one run for Vancouver. The 27-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Omezo Suyama. It was his 48th RBI of the season.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Wolves manager Zach Meinen, "I like our chances."
