Titans Handed 4-1 Loss by Washington
|
Dominic Hogg was nothing short of phenomenal for the Washington Senators. The 27-year-old right-hander was a big reason his team beat the New York Titans, 4-1. Hogg, now 2-6, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Julio Mendoza recorded the save for Washington, his 21st of the season.
The Senators got a gift in the bottom of the sixth inning, when they were leading 2-1. With two out and the bases loaded, Justin Yount reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run. It made the score 3-1, Washington.
Washington manager Josh Cooan said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
Washington is now 34-48.
