Philadelphia Drops Havana, 14-7
The Philadelphia Spectres defeated the Havana Metropolitanos, 14-7, at Estadio Latinoamericano. Philadelphia was led by 27-year old right fielder Dave Palacios, who was 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 3 runs. Chae-pong Kim earned the win to go to 2-0. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 1 strikeout in 5 innings of work. The win lifts Philadelphia to a record of 4-4.

Philadelphia used a clutch at-bat from Xavier Santa to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Spectres ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Santa said.
