Destroyers Sneak By Kodiaks, 4-3
|
San Diego left fielder Edward Black picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Alaska Kodiaks, 4-3. The Destroyers now own a record of 32-49.
Black had a timely hit for San Diego in the bottom of the eighth. With San Diego trailing 3-2, he turned a 2-0 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season, making it 4-3, San Diego.
After the game, San Diego manager Steve Alstadt applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
