Despite a great performance by Baltimore shortstop Ubaldo Talone, the Minneapolis Vikings defeated the Kings by the score of 7-5 in 10 innings at Minneapolis Grounds. Talone was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Minneapolis reliever Zee-loo Kim was the winner. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Marc Diamond. The first-place Vikings lifted their record to 50-31.

The decisive blow was delivered by Carlos Dorame in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run home run off former first round draft pick Marc Diamond to win the game for Minneapolis. The home crowd went nuts.

"Now that's my kind of ending," said a smiling Dorame.
