Browns Drop 5-2 Decision to Greens
|
Starting pitcher Frank Ulloa fulfilled his part of the bargain, helping the Boston Greens stymie the Brooklyn Browns, 5-2. In 7 innings, Ulloa surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. The save was credited to Nestor Duque, his 4th.
Boston took a 4-2 lead on Matt Steinruck's 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Steinruck hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Brooklyn pitcher Olympio Odescalchi visibly frustrated.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Boston manager Matt Glazer. "Our pregame was pretty good."
Boston, at 43-37, sits in second place in the Eastern Conference Zach Gavula Division.
