Vikings Procure 2-0 Victory
Juan Pinon was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Legednary Park. In fact, the Minneapolis Vikings left-hander was instrumental in his team's 2-0 victory over the Phoenix Thunderbirds. Zee-loo Kim, who led the WC in saves with 32 last year, earned the save for Minneapolis. Phoenix falls to 4-4.

Minneapolis used a well-timed hit by Bobby Aguinaga to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Vikings ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We came in and did what we needed to do," said Minneapolis manager Ace Cooan.
