The Portland Dragons handed the Baltimore Kings a 5-4 defeat at Portland Park. Designated Hitter Jairo Cedillo starred for Portland. He was 2-2 with 2 singles and 3 walks. Portland pitcher Lenny Stack got the win. He's now 5-6. Marc Diamond was tagged with the loss. Alberto Rosario earned the save, his 2nd.

Had Cedillo not come through in the bottom of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Cedillo hit a run-scoring single. The Dragons took the lead, 5-4, and never looked back.

Portland manager Greg Carpenter commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
