Evans Powers Aces to 10-9 Win
The Las Vegas Aces beat the Minneapolis Vikings in a game featuring much hitting but not much pitching. The final score was 10-9, Aces. One of the hitting stars was first baseman Justin Evans. Evans, who is tied for 6th in the WC in hits with 88, went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. J.P. McNealy closed the door for Las Vegas, picking up his 13th save of the year. The Aces improved their record to 40-39 by beating Minneapolis.

Las Vegas used a well-timed hit by Jessie Bouchard to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Aces ahead, 7-4. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"This game had a little bit of everything," said Evans.
