Cyclones Lose to Browns in Walk-Off
|
Though he had a great game, Yuki Soma could not single-handedly produce a win for Miami. Brooklyn won the game, 3-2. Soma was 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. With the win, the Browns have a record of 39-40.
Jack Bird was the walk-off hero for Brooklyn. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Browns second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Brooklyn manager Jason Cormier said.
