The Baltimore Kings picked up a win at Portland Park, taking down the Portland Dragons, 6-4. Starting pitcher Rocco Porcaro was a big reason why. Porcaro, the winner, moves to 10-1. He threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. Jeremy Lanham was credited with the save for Baltimore, his 2nd of the season.
Da-xia Peng came through with a big-time hit for Baltimore. The designated hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"You need to show up when your number's called," said Peng.
Today's win puts Baltimore at 49-29, while Portland falls to 38-40.
