Win Streak Now at 6 for Cyclones
|
The Miami Cyclones defeated the Brooklyn Browns, 8-5, at Brown Town. Miami was led by 26-year old shortstop Lan-quing Rao, who was 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Cyclones have now reeled off 6 straight wins.
Miami used the timely hitting of Joy-shan Yue to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cyclones on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Chris Stephan said.
