The Brooklyn Browns topped the Miami Cyclones by a score of 6-1. Leading the way was second baseman Lanny Tabares. Tabares belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Browns. The third-place Browns hiked their record to 37-40.

Carmine Citti had a big solo home run for the Browns in the top of the fifth inning. With Brooklyn leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Nestor Fajardo and punished it.
