Toros Suffer 6-5 Road Loss
|
Behind the hitting of Mitsumasa Inouye, the Los Angeles Stars clipped the Tucson Toros, 6-5. Inouye was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Stars. Los Angeles reliever Manny Larios picked up the win, while Feng Shuai took the loss for Tucson. Los Angeles is now 38-40.
Inouye contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Los Angeles in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-1, Inouye took a fastball from Feng Shuai and stroked the home run to right-center. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Stars to leap in front, 4-3.
"You just play the game as right as you can and see where you end up," said Stars manager Pat Kaers.
