Maine Upended by Toronto, 3-1
|
Getting an impressive start from Bob Achbar, Toronto beat Maine by the score of 3-1. Achbar, now 3-6, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Picking up his 21st save was four-time All-Star Ignacio Noriega.
Yin-ti Huan, who signed a 2-year contract worth $13,000,000 on 01/31/2086, took Maine hurler Eikki Hostikka deep in the bottom of the third. His 2-run home run put the Juggernauts on top, 3-1. In all, Huan had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"Bob did a nice job," said Juggernauts manager Marc Arnold.
The 4th-place Juggernauts hiked their record to 38-39.
