Avispas Lose By a Run at Havana
Both teams had their chances, but the Havana Metropolitanos eventually prevailed.

The Havana Metropolitanos defeated the Santiago Avispas, 4-3, in Eastern Conference action at Estadio Latinoamericano. Havana pitcher Joyee Cameron had a standout performance. Andino D'Elia nailed down his 7th save.

Havana second baseman Dustin Siepker contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 22nd hit of the season and put the Metropolitanos ahead, 4-0.

"Joyee kept them off-balance, threw a great game for us," said Metropolitanos manager Kevin Mayerhofer.

Havana, at 35-43, sits in last place in the Eastern Conference Jossue Lopez Division.
