Las Vegas turned a good effort from starter Kurt Bozek into a win over the San Diego Destroyers at Seaward Stadium. The Aces won the game, 2-0. The winning pitcher was Bozek, now 5-4. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Ricardo Riveron, who finished 3rd in the EC in saves with 20 last year, earned the save for Las Vegas.

Venceslau Pontes, who is tied for 10th in the WC in triples with 3, had a direct impact on the outcome. Pontes contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put Las Vegas up, 1-0.

"When Kurt is on, he can really move the ball around," said Las Vegas manager Justin Coroian.

At 33-44, the Aces find themselves in 4th place in the Western Conference Felipe Solorzo Division.
