Greens Get 5th Straight Win with Late Rally

The Boston Greens faced a tough opponent in San Francisco pitcher Mike Blain, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Arrington Park by a final score of 4-3. Blain went 6 innings and allowed no runs. Jorge Zamora came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. San Francisco now has a record of 4-4.
Dave Rivera helped out the Boston cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a 3-run home run. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said San Francisco manager Erich Weatherholt.
