Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Miami Cyclones and Brooklyn Browns.
Miami picked up a win at Kroger Stadium, bumping off the Brooklyn Browns, 5-3. Pitcher Jeremy Fitch was a major reason the Cyclones emerged victorious. Clement Powell nailed down his 3rd save.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from center fielder Yuki Soma. For the game, Soma went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Miami a 4-1 lead.
"Jeremy is a gamer," said Miami manager Chris Stephan.
The 4th-place Cyclones are 31-42.
