Juggernauts Get Past Buffalo for 3-2 Win
|
The Buffalo Rangers went down to defeat to Fisko Loera and his Toronto teammates. The final score was 3-2, in favor of the Juggernauts. Loera got the win, improving to 4-9. He gave up 5 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Ignacio Noriega nailed down his 12th save.
Matt Salmon, who finished 2nd in the EC in extra base hits with 72 last year, chipped in a 2-run home run for Toronto in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"Fisko's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Toronto manager Marc Arnold.
