The Houston Aquas picked up a win at Tesoro Stadium, knocking off the Vancouver Wolves, 5-2. Starting pitcher Slider Brooks played a key role in the triumph. Brooks, now 8-2, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. The second-place Aquas improved to 42-31.

The Aquas got a big at-bat from left fielder Bobby Badeaux. For the game, Badeaux went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 13th double of the season gave Houston a 4-2 lead.
