The Havana Metropolitanos beat the Buffalo Rangers, 14-7, at Bison Stadium. Havana catcher Andy Gonzales led the way. He was 3 for 6 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 6. Havana reliever Andino D'Elia was the winner. His record is now 5-1. The losing pitcher was Dan Shelton. The Metropolitanos improved to 44-28.

In the top of the eighth, the Metropolitanos grabbed the lead when Gonzales hit his 10th double of the season. The bases-clearing double off Nees van Santen made it 9-7, Havana.

"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Gonzales told the Havana Times.
